Can I just say that I am not a big fan of being criticized for things not being absolutely perfect at a CLASS party after single-handedly organizing it? Like can people just be glad they didn't have to do it and keep it shut? Really? I will never get that mentality of "no, I won't help, but gosh, you suck for doing/not doing XYZ" WTF is wrong with people? Nutty.
I'm not sure if it's the cupcake or the cookie or the Hawaiian Punch or the...or the...or the...but my son has been melting down over and over again for like the last 2 hours and I feel like putting on my PJs and locking myself in my bedroom until "daddy" gets home. Or a reallllllly early bedtime for the kids. Like, is 5pm too early? It is? Okay.
ALAS, I cannot. Why? BEEEEEcause, instead of taking my darling husband up on the idea to go OUT to eat tonight, I thought Wow, it would be really sweet of me and it would really show the love in my heart to MAKE DINNER FOR MY FAMILY ON VALENTINE'S DAY.
So....I got everything I needed to make dinner, complete with this really amazing cake from Whole Foods and some yummmy pink champagne (wait, can I open that now?) and will be doing that tonight. I know I'll be glad I did, but Chilis or the Thai restaurant are sounding awfully good right now.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
